Chinese agricultural robotics company founded 2007 in Guangzhou, making precision spray drones (P-series) and ground rovers operating in 60+ countries.
XAG Co., Ltd. (formerly XAircraft) is a Guangzhou-based agricultural technology and robotics company founded in 2007 by Peng Bin and co-founders. The company develops and manufactures agricultural drones, unmanned ground rovers, autopilot consoles, and smart farm IoT systems. XAG is the world's largest agricultural UAV service provider by area covered and holds the world's largest portfolio of agricultural drone patents as of 2025.
The company began as a multirotor drone technology developer releasing the X450 and X650 drones for aerial photography and model aircraft in 2009-2010. By 2013-2014, XAG pivoted to agricultural applications following the first test flight of a plant protection drone prototype. The first commercial plant protection drone, the P20, launched in 2015 with RTK precision navigation and intelligent centrifugal atomisation spraying.
The current P-series crop protection drones span multiple payload categories. The P60 targets smallholder farms. The P100 Pro and P150 serve mid to large-scale agricultural operators. The flagship P150 Max, launched in late 2025, carries an 80 kg maximum payload, achieves a maximum flight speed of 20 m/s, and covers 50-80 acres per hour under typical spraying conditions. It uses the SuperX 5 Ultra Intelligent Control System with centimetre-level RTK positioning, 4D imaging radar for obstacle detection (power lines, irrigation pivots), and the RealTerra field mapping system that surveys up to 20 hectares per flight. The P150 Max is FCC-approved and available in the US market as of 2026.
For ground-based operations, XAG launched the R-series agricultural rovers. The R100 is designed for dense greenhouse and vegetable crops, with a 120-litre tank and four-wheel drive. The R200 targets orchards and vineyards with a 240-litre tank and six-wheel drive. Both use XAG's JetSprayer centrifugal technology producing 60-200 micron droplets with horizontal spray reach of up to 7 metres per side.
Additional products include the APC2 AutoPilot Console for drone fleet management and the Smart Farm IoT product line (FBV, FPI, FC5, FS2, FR2) for field environment monitoring and fertigation management.
XAG's P-series platform has logged over 9.3 million flight hours since 2022 across tens of millions of hectares globally. Products and services are available in more than 60 countries and regions. The company has been designated a National Manufacturing Champion by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is recognised in a UN FAO/ITU publication on Digital Agriculture in Action.
