Vector (operating as TF Vector) is a US defense technology company founded in 2024 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company was co-founded by former Tier 1 special operators and defense technology experts including CEO Andy Yakulis (former Army Special Operations Commander with an MS from Stanford), CSO Matt Long (retired Navy SEAL with a Silver Star), CTO George Matus (founder of Teal drones, Peter Thiel Fellow, Forbes 30 Under 30, 20+ patents in unmanned systems), and co-founder Larsen Jensen (two-time Olympic medalist and former Navy SEAL).
Vector positions itself as a Modern Warfare as-a-Service (MWaaS) provider, delivering battlefield-ready unmanned aerial systems and tactical integration capabilities directly to US warfighters and allied forces. The company designs, manufactures, and deploys small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) suited for reconnaissance, deep sensing, and precision effects in contested environments.
Vector's current product arsenal includes two platforms: the Vector Hammer — a 10-inch long-range first-person view (FPV) multi-use quadcopter capable of deep sensing and deep strike for maneuvering units; and the Vector Dagger — a purpose-built attritable modular sUAS for military and law enforcement delivering modular sensing and precision effects in high-risk environments. Both systems are manufactured in the United States. Vector has earned DIU (Defense Innovation Unit) Blue UAS List and Green UAS List approval, validating its cyber resilience, domestic supply chain integrity, and alignment with US defense requirements. The company is also NDAA-compliant and Made in USA certified.
Since its founding, Vector scaled from nine employees to nearly 100 within its first two years. It closed a seed round in 2024 and a Series A in 2025 led by Pelion, with additional investors including Lightspeed, Point72, Harpoon Ventures, Shield Capital, Dauntless Ventures, and Alumni Ventures. In mid-2025, the company relocated its headquarters from its founding location to Salt Lake City, Utah, and transitioned from a pure integration company to a vertically integrated defense manufacturer.
