Ushr Inc., which now operates under the name DMP North America, is a geospatial mapping company headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. It was founded in 2017 as a spin-off of GeoDigital's automotive-mapping unit and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynamic Map Platform Co., Ltd. (DMP) of Japan when DMP acquired it in June 2019.
The company produces high-definition (HD) maps for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous-vehicle development, using lidar sensors and mapping software to record more than 450 road features, including lane markings, road furniture and traffic-control devices, at survey-grade accuracy. Its current published coverage spans about 975,000 miles of roads across 26 regions in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea and Western Europe. Its most prominent deployment supplies HD map data for General Motors' Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system, first offered on the 2018 Cadillac CT6, and it also supplies HD map data used in Nissan's ProPILOT Assist driver-assistance system.
DMP North America also maintains map operations in Lompoc, California, and operates as part of Dynamic Map Platform, which Japanese automakers and the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan established in 2016.
