Indian maker of UnboxSort, a 3D robotic put-wall for parcel sortation; about US$36M raised, Series B led by ICICI Venture
Unbox Robotics, operating as Unboxrobotics Labs Pvt Ltd, is an Indian warehouse robotics manufacturer founded in 2019 by Pramod Ghadge (co-founder and CEO), Shahid Memon (co-founder and CTO) and Rohit Pitale (CGO). Its head office is in Bhosari, Pimpri-Chinchwad, with a factory in Shivane, Pune, and further sites in Camden, Delaware in the United States and Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
The product is UnboxSort, a modular robotic put-wall that sorts parcels in three dimensions rather than along a conveyor line. The company states that it sorts vertically to 2.4 metres and to more than 2,000 destinations at over 15,000 parcels per hour with 100% accuracy, using a fleet of robots coordinated by swarm intelligence and with no single point of failure. It claims a 50-70% smaller footprint than conveyor-based sortation, installation three times faster and return on investment twice as fast. Stated use cases are e-commerce fulfilment, sort centres, distribution, urban delivery hubs, B2B and store replenishment, click-and-collect, returns processing and last-mile route sortation. An unnamed second product is listed as coming soon.
Funding to date is about US$36.2 million: a US$1.2 million pre-Series A in April 2021, a US$7 million Series A in December 2021 led by 3one4 Capital, and a US$28 million Series B announced in January 2026 led by ICICI Venture with Redstart Labs, earmarked for engineering, product and new markets. In November 2024 the company signed a research MoU with HuT Labs at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for joint R&D in robotics and logistics automation.
