This approach reduces material cost by up to 10 times compared to filament-based 3D printing and expands the range of printable materials to high-performance polymers including carbon-fiber-reinforced PEI (CF-PEI), glass-fiber PEKK (GF-PEKK), ABS, and engineering nylons.

The core product line is the Atlas series of large-format 3D printers. The Atlas 2.5 offered a build volume up to 1,066 mm x 1,066 mm x 1,219 mm. The Atlas 3.6, launched at Formnext Connect in November 2020, features a build volume of 50 x 50 x 72 inches (approximately 1,270 x 1,270 x 1,829 mm), enabling parts up to six feet tall. The Atlas 3.6 supports dual pellet extrusion tool heads. In 2017, Titan debuted the Cronus, a multi-gantry printer featuring five print heads operating simultaneously on a single part to increase throughput for large production runs.

Applications include tooling, jigs and fixtures, large structural components, and end-use parts across manufacturing, aerospace, and industrial sectors. The company grew to occupy a 22,000-square-foot facility near Colorado Springs Airport.

In February 2022, 3D Systems Corporation announced an agreement to acquire Titan Additive LLC (the legal entity) for approximately $39 million in cash. The transaction closed in April 2022.
