Thanos Technologies (Thanos) is an Indian agricultural drone company founded in 2016 by Co-Founder and CEO Pradeep Palelli, who handles business and operations, and Co-Founder and CTO Prathyush Akepati, who designs the aerial platforms. It started out working on agriculture, surveillance and delivery and now concentrates on crop spraying. The company reports eight years of field operations over more than 10,000 acres.
Its products are the Syena-H10 and the flagship Syena-H10i. These agricultural spraying drones carry up to 10 litres, use GPS and radar for spraying and cover about 40 acres per day; the company says they meet DGCA standards. Thanos also offers drone and farm spraying services, and in the past it provided aerial surveying, custom drone manufacturing and drone repairs.
Its awards include first prize at the inaugural Drone Olympics Challenge run by India's Ministry of Defence in Bengaluru (2019) and a demonstration at Aero India 2019 after an invitation to Lockheed Martin's Global UAV Challenge. It was also selected as one of 10 start-ups for Telangana Government mentorship and pilot projects, and it was named one of the Top 10 Hot Startups of Hyderabad at the HYSEA Awards 2018.
