The company designs, builds and sells or rents intervention and instrumentation systems for underwater and surface marine applications, serving oil & gas, naval/defence, scientific-research and environmental customers. It holds certification as a Research Organisation from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and participates in regional research clusters covering maritime technology and visual-imaging systems. Its mini-ROV line includes the Guardian, an observation-class ROV rated to 150 m depth with a four-horizontal-thruster configuration, capable of tethered excursions up to 500 m and fitted with an ancillary mounting plug for sonars, gauges or manipulators. Its AspiROV is a combined inspection-and-cleaning ROV rated to 100 m depth, weighing 12 kg in air (6 kg neutral in water, ballast-adjustable) with dimensions of 66 x 43 x 53 cm; it pairs a 35 m suction hose with a 30 m3/h centrifugal gasoline pump to clean the floor of drinking-water, industrial-water and fire-suppression storage tanks while performing simultaneous visual inspection, without draining the tank. On the surface side, its CAT-Surveyor is an unmanned surface vehicle measuring 3 m in length with a 1.6 m beam, weighing 270 kg dry, reaching 5 knots and running roughly 12 hours on twin Li-ion battery packs; its open architecture accepts hydrographic and environmental survey sensor payloads.
Subsea Tech has supplied customers including offshore energy operators and defence users, and has been active in EU-funded marine-robotics research initiatives such as the SEACLEAR ocean-debris-collection project. Its product range positions the company as a specialist builder of compact, portable ROV and USV platforms rather than large work-class subsea systems, and it maintains a UK representation agreement with Shackleton Offshore to support customers in that market.
