STILRIDE is a design & technology startup rewriting the design rules for sustainable manufacturing using robotics and origami-inspired steel folding. The startup has created a cutting-edge manufacturing process that makes smarter use of resources and minimises waste. The tech, called STILFOLD, has been dubbed "industrial origami" and involves the use of robots to fold steel over curves to form new structures. The first application of the tech is a sustainable steel e-motorbike called the SUS1.
