SmoothTool is built for Universal Robots' e-Series and newer cobot arms and supports welding power sources from Fronius, ESAB, Kemppi, EWM, and Miller, with an optional RetroFit Kit for other brands. Feature modules include Touch Sense for automatic seam finding, 3D Universe weaving, multipass welding, seam tracking, external-axis control, stitch and tack welding, and offset programming.

Smooth Robotics was named a top 10 robotics startup by RobotUnion in 2019 and won the WeldGalaxy Open Call in 2021, backed by Innovation Fund Denmark. SmoothTool is used at welding shops including Peverk Oy, Breman Machinery, Wenteq, Vattholma Mekano, Alusteel, and Shun Fu Enterprise, and in training programs at Schweisstechnische Lehranstalt Magdeburg and New College Lanarkshire. The company employs around 16 people.
