Slamcore is a spatial-intelligence software company headquartered in London, UK, founded in 2016 by Imperial College London researchers Andrew Davison, Stefan Leutenegger, Jacek Zienkiewicz, and Owen Nicholson. The company builds embedded software that fuses camera and sensor data so that forklifts, robots, and other industrial vehicles can localize themselves and map their surroundings in real time.
Its product line includes Slamcore Aware, a real-time location system for manual forklifts and industrial vehicles operating in warehouses and factories; Slamcore Alert, an add-on that issues audio and visual pedestrian-proximity warnings; and Slamcore Hub, a fleet data management platform. The system tracks vehicles through onboard sensor fusion rather than fixed positioning infrastructure such as beacons or reflectors.
Slamcore has raised close to $25 million, with investment from Amadeus Capital, Toyota Ventures, Octopus Ventures, and Rockwell Automation's ROKStar Ventures. The company is a founding vendor of the RTLS Alliance Ecosystem, holds memberships in MHI and A3, and is recognized as an NVIDIA Preferred Partner.
