Shintec Hozumi Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer serving the automotive industry, established on 1 September 1992 with capital of JPY 350 million and about 450 employees. Its head office is in Miyoshi, Aichi Prefecture, with additional sites in Mitaka (Tokyo), Tajimi (Gifu) and Tokai (Aichi). The representative director and president is Toshihiko Kudo. The company describes its technology base as drawn from the Toyota Group.
Its business lines are AGVs, production equipment design, manufacture and maintenance, automotive maintenance equipment (including the IoN-SHINTEC line), DX and digital content, manual production, and safety education content such as VR safety training.
The AGV business is organised around the TANGO series and has been selling for 22 years, spanning light-duty 170 kg models to 3-tonne heavy-duty units. Towing models TANGO T0, T1, T2 and T3 (with m, h and h-J variants) handle loads up to 1,000 kg and tunnel under carts to push them from below; they support magnetic tape guidance, SLAM guideless navigation or a hybrid of both, and offer forward, reverse, lateral and diagonal motion so no turning is needed in narrow aisles, with contact or non-contact charging. Loading models TS3m and TS4m carry up to 1.0 t and 1.5 t with interchangeable load units and omnidirectional travel. The N3h lift-up model uses a hybrid magnetic-tape and SLAM scheme, slides its lifter under existing carts or pallets without dedicated pallets, and is managed from a tablet-based fleet tool. Other published models include SS-500, SS-800 and SS-1300 tunnel-under units, the NN-360, NN-470 and NN-1100 lifting series, and the NFF-600 automated forklift.
