Company Overview

Sereact GmbH is a Stuttgart, Germany-based AI robotics company founded in 2021 by Dr. Ralf Gulde (CEO) and Dr. Marc Tuscher (CTO), both University of Stuttgart alumni with doctoral research from the Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Units (ISW). The company develops embodied AI software for industrial logistics and warehouse automation, with its core technology centered on Vision-Language-Action Models (VLAM).

Sereact's flagship product, Cortex, is a VLA foundation model that replaces traditional robot programming pipelines with a unified system capable of learning from demonstrations and generalizing across pick-and-place tasks without task-specific retraining. Cortex enables zero-shot bin picking and includes robust error recovery, achieving reported day-one pick accuracy above 98% on customer hardware. The system is hardware-agnostic, supporting both two-finger and suction gripper configurations with millisecond tool-switching.

A second key product, PickGPT, launched in July 2023, adds a natural language interface allowing non-expert operators to instruct robots using plain language commands rather than robot programming. PickGPT can be deployed within a single day of installation and received a 2024 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award. Sereact Lens is a standalone AI vision module combining proprietary optics with real-time perception and inventory management capabilities.

As of mid-2026, Sereact's systems have executed over 1 billion real production picks across 100+ live deployments. Customers include Active Ants, Austrian Post, BMW, bol., Daimler Truck, DeltiLog, Mercedes-Benz, Monta, MS Direct, PepsiCo, and Rohlik Group.

Funding milestones include a EUR 25 million Series A in early 2025 and a $110 million Series B closed in April 2026, bringing total reported funding to approximately $141 million. The Series B is funding US market expansion, with Sereact opening US headquarters. The company is headquartered at Schockenriedstrasse 17, 70565 Stuttgart, Germany, and can be reached at [email protected] or +49 711 90777712.
