Company Overview

ROB'OCC (Robotique Occitane) is a French manufacturer of indoor autonomous mobile robots based in Brens, in the Tarn department of the Occitanie region. Founded in 2023, it builds ROC-E, a mobile robot intended to automate short, repetitive internal transport flows in factories and workshops, such as moving tools, parts and parcels between stores, workstations, production lines and quality-control areas.

The design emphasis is on deployment without infrastructure work. ROC-E is marketed as plug-and-play and deployable in under an hour, and it operates offline, without Wi-Fi, 5G, cloud services or an IT integration project, so that customers do not need to change their networks. The company presents this offline architecture as a cybersecurity feature, stating that the robot's security architecture was validated by intrusion testing, and describes its software and data as fully controlled in-house. The robot is assembled in France and the company states that 84 percent of its components are European; it also promotes eco-design and low maintenance.

Published ROC-E specifications are a payload of up to 200 kg, a maximum speed of 1 m/s, 10 hours of autonomy with a full recharge in 2 hours, a footprint of 67 x 46 cm, a 10-inch touchscreen, and self-diagnostics with integrated maintenance support. A ROC-E Picker variant adds a module that docks under picking stations to collect or drop off totes and can tow rolls, carts and mobile shelving. A fleet manager coordinates several ROC-E units on one site, handling robot status, task assignment and priorities, usage statistics and route and charging optimisation; missions can be triggered by an operator, a sensor or site equipment through the company's IoT controller and call buttons, and the fleet runs locally with no external network dependency.

The reference customer is MECAPREC, an industrial company in Lavelanet, Ariege. A ROC-E unit in service there since August 2024 completed 4,127 automated missions in its first year, sparing operators 690.84 km of walking; integration and training took one day, and the deployment was reported to free roughly three months of staff time for production and oversight work.

ROB'OCC lists support from the Region Occitanie, Airbus Developpement, Daher, Bpifrance and the France 2030 programme, and says ROC-E has won French Tech and DGE awards. Its site also shows affiliations with the Log'in by Daher acceleration platform, Robotics Place, Aerospace Valley, IoT Valley, French Tech and French Fab. The about page names a nine-person team of robotics and autonomous navigation specialists. No street address, phone number or funding amount is published; contact is through a web form and video-call booking.
