Resense GmbH is a German sensor company founded in April 2023 as a joint venture between WITTENSTEIN SE and WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG. The company develops and manufactures miniaturized 6-axis force/torque sensors designed to give robots a precise sense of touch. Its flagship product, the HEX8, is the world's smallest commercially available 6-axis force/torque sensor with an outer diameter of just 8.4 mm, accuracy below 10 mN (1g), and a 1 kHz sampling rate.
The sensors use high-end silicon strain gauges with integrated electronics and are suitable for medical robotics, service robots, industrial robots, haptic devices, and precision manipulation. Space-saving design allows integration into compact grippers, humanoid robot fingers, and surgical instruments. Resense is headquartered at the WIKA facility in Klingenberg am Main, Bavaria, Germany.
