Qubiqa A/S is a Danish material-handling equipment manufacturer headquartered in Esbjerg, Denmark. The company traces its roots to Seelen, a forging business established in Esbjerg in 1945 by Svend O. von Seelen and modernized with electronic controls and robotics after Lars Schou acquired it in 1984; the business merged with Univeyor A/S and Nordplan A/S in 2010 under Odin Equity Partners, was rebranded Qubiqa Esbjerg A/S in 2011, and took its current name, Qubiqa A/S, in 2018.
Qubiqa designs, manufactures, and installs automated material handling systems, keeping engineering, manufacturing, programming, testing, installation, and commissioning in-house. Its main product lines cover cold-end handling equipment for insulation material (mineral wool) production, furniture packaging, board and biomass handling, and general converting-line automation. The company operates a Polish subsidiary, POL-EL A/S, established in 2005, and maintains a US office; in 2023 it acquired Danish robotics firm C&H System A/S to add robotic capability to its systems.
Qubiqa A/S is a separate company from Qubiqa Logistics, the Arden, Denmark-based depalletizing business built around the Layer Picker system, which was sold to Korber AG in 2016 and now operates within Korber's Business Area Logistics Systems. The two companies share a common corporate history but have been under different ownership since that sale.
