Greenville, Wisconsin robotic integrator founded 1991 by Thomas Doyle; became a 100 percent employee-owned ABB Value Provider in 1997.
QComp Technologies, Inc. is a 100 percent employee-owned robotic automation system integrator headquartered in Greenville, Wisconsin. Thomas Doyle founded the company in 1991 in Appleton, Wisconsin, originally building circuit boards for pinball machines before moving into custom drive systems and, by 1998, robotic automation for the flat-glass, consumer-goods, and food industries. The company relocated to Greenville Industrial Park in 1997 and has expanded that facility twice since, adding a 10,000-square-foot building in 2019 and a further expansion in 2021.
QComp's core work is end-of-line material handling: robotic palletizing and depalletizing, high-speed pick and place, case packing, carton erecting, gaylord building, weighing, sealing, labeling, and shrink and flow wrapping, delivered as engineered systems the company designs, builds, programs, and installs. Between 2004 and 2010 the company also built automated guided vehicle systems. QComp became the third company worldwide to hold ABB Value Provider status in 1997 and also works with FANUC and Staubli robots.
The company became 100 percent employee-owned in 2018 under OwnersEdge. QComp holds A3 (Association for Advancing Automation) certified-integrator status and serves customers in the flat-glass, nonwovens, consumer-goods, and food and beverage sectors across the United States and Canada.
