"Increase profits in produce farming with visibility and control."
Singapore agtech firm flying self-recharging drones for contactless airflow pollination of greenhouse tomatoes and strawberries plus 7-10 day yield forecasts.
Polybee Pte Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered agricultural technology company founded in 2019 by Siddharth Jadhav, who studied the physics of flight, aerial robotics and drone control systems at the National University of Singapore. The leadership team also includes Pankaj Malik (VP of Commercial Operations) and Samir Otiv (VP of Engineering). Besides its Singapore headquarters on Tiong Bahru Road, Polybee has offices at La Trobe University's Bundoora campus in Melbourne and in Darwin, Australia.
The company deploys small, autonomous, self-recharging camera drones over specialty crops in greenhouses and open fields. Two services run on the same fleet. Autonomous pollination uses a patented, aerodynamically controlled airflow to shake pollen onto the stigma of self-pollinating crops such as tomatoes, strawberries and blueberries, reducing reliance on bumblebees; the company reports up to 15% higher yields in greenhouse crops. Yield forecasting uses high-resolution plant imagery and a computer vision pipeline that measures plants to millimetre precision, to predict yield and harvest readiness 7 to 10 days ahead and to scout for crop stress. Open-field deployments cover baby leaf spinach and broccoli. A Full Autonomy dashboard combines scans, forecasts and pollination runs, and the Phenobee web app is offered to customers.
Polybee flies off-the-shelf DJI drones (DJI Enterprise is listed as a technology partner) and states that its fleet software is hardware-agnostic for any drone with a docking system. It sells on a fixed fee per hectare, covering hardware, software subscription and field support, with no upfront drone purchase. Named customers include Perfection Fresh, Fruitist, PMFresh, Boratto Farms and Comfresh, with contracts among large glasshouse producers in Australia, fresh produce growers in the US and a major UK greenhouse berry producer. Bayer Crop Science is a channel partner; UK Agritech Centre and Angus Soft Fruits are research partners.
In February 2026 Polybee announced a USD 4.3 million seed round led by Paspalis Capital and elev8.vc, with SEEDS Capital and angel investors including Blue River Technology founder Jorge Heraud. Other listed backers include Temasek Foundation, SGGrowth Capital, NUS Enterprise, Enterprise Singapore and Hort Innovation. The company planned a five-fold expansion to more than 4,000 acres in 2026.
