PCB Piezotronics is a Depew, New York-based designer, manufacturer and global supplier of sensors and instrumentation for the measurement of dynamic acceleration, pressure, force, torque, load, strain, shock, vibration and sound. Founded in 1967 by brothers Bob and Jim Lally near Buffalo, the company pioneered ICP technology, integrating microelectronic signal-conditioning circuitry, a piezoelectric element and an amplifier within a single sensor housing. This innovation became the foundation of its business and an industry standard for low-impedance dynamic measurement. PCB's product range includes industrial and test accelerometers, dynamic and static pressure sensors, force sensors and load cells, torque transducers, microphones, strain sensors, signal conditioners and calibration equipment, built on piezoelectric (ICP), piezoresistive and capacitive MEMS sensing technologies. Its sensors are widely used in test and measurement, structural and vibration monitoring, aerospace and defense, automotive testing, industrial machinery condition monitoring, and research laboratories, and they are integral to robotics and automation applications requiring force, torque and vibration feedback.
