Odd.Bot is a Netherlands-based agricultural robotics company founded in 2018 in Lelystad, Flevoland, originating from a collaboration with the Technical University of Delft and RoboHouse. The company manufactures the Maverick, a fully autonomous mechanical weeding robot designed for vegetable crops including carrots, onions, and chicory. The Maverick navigates crop rows using onboard AI vision without requiring external GPS signals, operates on ridges, flat fields, and beds ranging from 1.50 m to 2.25 m wide, removes up to 2 weeds per second per arm, and cleans up to 2 hectares per day.
The robot can operate 24/7. The first 16 Maverick units for 2025 sold out, with machines deployed across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. In December 2024, Odd.Bot raised €2 million in pre-Series A funding led by Iconic Ventures.
