Taipei-based AI robotics company behind the Kebbi line of education and companion robots, backed by Foxconn and Xiaomi through Series B funding.
NUWA Robotics is an artificial-intelligence robotics company headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, covering AI software and hardware development, manufacturing and interactive content design in house.
Its product line is the Kebbi family of desktop social robots, used in home companionship, K-12 and STEAM education, business reception and eldercare settings such as cognitive training. Kebbi robots combine an expressive touchscreen face, articulated arms, wheeled movement, cameras with facial and object recognition, and a self-developed SLAM navigation system the company states achieves about plus-or-minus 2.2 centimeter positioning precision. The current Kebbi 3 and Kebbi Air S models add generative-AI features that connect to a customer's own knowledge base for scripted interactions, and NUWA provides a no-code cloud platform, branded RaaS Suite, so schools and businesses can build lessons and applications without engineering staff.
NUWA has raised Series B funding of roughly 200 million New Taiwan dollars led by Foxconn, with Xiaomi among its other investors, and states its Kebbi platform has reached thousands of deployed units. The company maintains a presence in Taipei alongside Japan and mainland China operations.
