Nucleus Robotics, trading as Nucleus, is a German startup that supplies humanoid robots to factories as hourly labour and uses that work to collect training data for industrial physical AI. The company is registered as Nucleus Robotics UG (haftungsbeschraenkt) in Guetersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia, with entry HRB 14388 at the Guetersloh local court; registration took place in February 2026. Its co-founders are Krzysztof Szczurek and Melvin Schwarz, who is managing director and chief executive. Press reports describe the team as including former staff of 1X, NEURA Robotics, Agile Robots, Foundation, CERN and the European Space Agency.

The core offer is humanoid capacity billed by the hour, listed at 25 to 45 euros per hour, so a factory pays for completed work rather than buying robots. Tasks shown on the company site are parts picking, loading shelves, product handling, cart transport and precision gripping, chained into intralogistics workflows inside an industrial parts store: loading containers onto a cart, transferring them to shelving and staging material for the next operation. In October 2026 the company published an uncut recording of more than an hour of this work and said the session ran roughly 60% autonomously and 40% under teleoperation, without detailing how the split was measured. It reports regularly running four-to-six-hour shifts with human intervention where needed. Reporting by Humanoids Daily states that the deployed robots are Unitree G1 humanoids in Nucleus-branded covers fitted with Nucleus-designed end effectors, and that a later Nucleus II configuration moves to a wheeled dual-arm platform. A three-stage rollout of 3D scanning, simulation and about three weeks of supervised operation is used for each new site, and the company says its first deployment, at an unnamed German industrial company, went live in under 90 days.

The software side has two parts. Nucleus AI is the model stack that turns perception into action; the company describes combining vision-language-action models, world models and diffusion policies with receding-horizon control. Training data come from the deployments themselves: camera and depth observations, proprioception and contact signals, operator task prompts and teleoperation corrections, and task outcome labels used for evaluation and post-training. Nucleus Fleet Management is a workspace for running a humanoid workforce, with shift check-in and check-out checklists, robot battery and connection telemetry, live camera feeds and a digital emergency stop with event logging; it is offered from 200 euros per month.

According to Dealroom, Nucleus raised an undisclosed seed round in May 2026 from 0100 Ventures, Interface Capital and May Ventures, and had a team of 2 to 10 people. The company emerged from stealth in mid-2026 and states an aim of operating one of the largest deployed humanoid fleets by the end of 2027.
