Mushiny is a Chinese warehouse automation company founded in 2016 in Suzhou, Jiangsu. Founder Liu Ming previously worked at Amazon China, where he managed the Jinan operations centre, and at the Korean e-commerce firm Coupang.
The company supplies goods-to-person systems built around its own mobile robots and sortation hardware, covering storage, picking, sortation and packing. Products include the Shelf AMR for rack-carrying goods-to-person picking, the Sortation AMR, the Shuttle AMR, the 3D Sorter MAX and 3D Sorter Mini parcel sorters, a four-way shuttle for dense pallet and tote storage, and the MIX Pro high-bay tote system. Solution packages cover goods-to-person picking, high-bay storage, intelligent put-wall and conveyor sortation. Mushiny develops core robot components in-house, including motors, reducers, controllers and navigation modules, alongside warehouse management and robot management software.
Manufacturing is carried out at a plant in Huzhou, Zhejiang. Overseas offices are listed in Kennesaw, Georgia (United States), Stuhr, Germany, Chatswood, New South Wales (Australia), Seoul (South Korea) and Kawasaki, Kanagawa (Japan). A global R&D centre was announced in Nanjing. The company states deployments with more than 500 customers across e-commerce, cold chain, apparel, cosmetics, food and manufacturing, in over 50 countries and regions.
Investors include CDH Investments, which led a Series A round reported in January 2019, and later corporate and financial backers reported to include Toshiba, TCL Capital, Topping Capital, Skytrace Capital and Yuanfang Assets.
