Multi-Contact USA is the United States subsidiary of Multi-Contact AG, founded in Basel, Switzerland in 1962. The US operations were established in Windsor, California in 1982. The company manufactures precision electrical and electronic connectors and interconnection systems, ranging from miniature PCB connectors to large power connectors.
Products are used in power generation and distribution, signal and data processing, medical and monitoring instruments, supercomputers, robotic docking systems, high-speed trains, and photovoltaic systems. The company is particularly well known in the solar energy sector for its MC4 photovoltaic connector, where 'MC' stands for Multi-Contact. In 2002, Multi-Contact AG was acquired by the Stäubli Group, and in 2017 the brand was renamed Stäubli Electrical Connectors.
All manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001 certified. The Windsor, California facility continues to serve North American customers with the same connector technology.
