Company Overview

Mujin, Inc. is a Tokyo-based intelligent robotics software company founded in July 2011 by Ross Diankov and Issei Takino. The company builds and commercializes MujinOS, a unified no-code industrial robotics platform that controls industrial robots, AGVs, storage systems, and vision sensors within a real-time digital twin environment. MujinOS supports a broad range of warehouse and factory automation applications, including depalletizing, palletizing, piece picking, bin picking, truck unloading, and warehouse execution management.

The platform's core is Machine Intelligence (MujinMI), comprising advanced perception, planning, and motion control algorithms that enable robots to make real-time autonomous decisions without manual teaching or programming. In January 2015, Mujin released MujinController PickWorker, the world's first teachless controller for bulk random picking. Mujin's solutions are robot-brand-agnostic and integrate with robots from any major industrial manufacturer.

The company serves clients in manufacturing and logistics across Japan, China, the United States, and Europe. A new subsidiary, Mujin Japan, Inc. (established February 2024), provides end-to-end consulting, integration, and remote operations support. Mujin is headquartered at 3-8-5 Tatsumi, Koto-ku, Tokyo.

Total funding exceeds $476 million, including an $85M Series C (September 2023), an $18M Series C extension (December 2023), and a $233M Series D (December 2025) led by NTT Group and Qatar Investment Authority, valuing the company at over $1 billion. The company is targeting an IPO by 2030.
