Lokeren-based Movu Robotics, stow Group's warehouse automation brand, makes atlas pallet shuttles, escala bin ASRS, ifollow AMRs and eligo picking robots.
Movu Robotics is the robotics and warehouse automation brand of stow Group, a storage systems manufacturer that employs more than 2,000 people and operates ten production sites. The brand was launched in September 2023, replacing the former stow Robotics name, and is headquartered in Lokeren, near Antwerp, Belgium, where engineering, R&D, production and an Experience Centre are housed under one roof. Stefan Pieters is CEO of Movu Robotics.
The autonomous mobile robot business comes from iFollow, a Paris-based AMR and fleet-software developer founded in 2017, in which stow Robotics acquired a majority stake in May 2022. iFollow now lives on as the Movu ifollow product brand.
The portfolio covers four product lines. Movu atlas is a deep-lane pallet shuttle storage system rated for loads up to 1,500 kg and operating temperatures from -25 C to +45 C, aimed at reducing aisle space including in cold storage. Movu escala is a shuttle-based automated storage and retrieval system for bins that moves in three dimensions, stores containers up to six deep, handles 650 x 450 bins and charges on the fly for 24/7 operation. Movu ifollow is a collaborative AMR system for pallets and other load carriers with plug-in software that requires no new infrastructure; the robot is 17 cm high, carries up to 1,200 kg and operates from -25 C to +40 C. Movu eligo is an order-fulfilment picking robot that handles items up to 2 kg and 1-30 cm in size at up to 600 picks per hour with more than 99% pick accuracy.
Movu targets e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods and cold storage operations in Europe and North America. It sells directly through its own sales offices and indirectly through systems integrators.
