MLR System GmbH is a German manufacturer and general contractor for automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems and intralogistics transport solutions, based in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg.
The company traces its origins to 1971, when several electronic control divisions were merged; by 1974 the business operated as Babcock Transport- und Lagersysteme GmbH. ROFA Industrial Automation AG acquired the shares of MLR System GmbH in 2015, and MLR is presented today as part of the ROFA Group, working with ROFA partner companies on combined conveyor and AGV installations. The managing director is Andreas Drost.
MLR supplies vehicles, navigation and control software, fleet management and host-system integration, and it also works on financing concepts and system management for customers, acting as general contractor for complete installations rather than supplying vehicles alone. Custom-engineered vehicles for specific customer processes are a stated part of the business.
The vehicle range includes the Phoenix forklift AGV series for pallets and pallet-sized containers, rated at 1,500 kg load and up to 3,000 mm lift; the Mayesto forklift AGV series, rated at 1,500 kg, up to 2.7 m/s travel speed and up to 11,000 mm lift for high-rack storage; and the Caesar open-platform and underride tractor series, including a heavy-duty variant. Applications span manufacturing supply, production logistics, warehouse transport and test-bench feeding in the automotive sector.
