Its flagship robotic component, the Mirka AIROS sanding head, is an IP66-rated, dust- and waterproof 48V brushless electric sander designed for continuous automated dry and wet sanding, featuring constant-rpm control and monitoring of motor current, temperature, and usage. To strengthen its automation capabilities, Mirka acquired Flexmill, a specialist in automated and robotized surface-finishing systems with a team of robotics engineers and software programmers that has delivered hundreds of systems to customers across more than twenty countries. Through this combination of abrasives expertise and robotics integration, Mirka delivers turnkey industrial automation for repeatable, high-quality surface finishing in manufacturing. Mirka also operates its first US production facility and maintains a global network of subsidiaries.
