Maxon's US subsidiary, Maxon Precision Motors Inc., is based in Taunton, Massachusetts, and serves as the North American arm of Swiss-headquartered maxon group (founded 1961). The subsidiary supplies precision brushed and brushless DC motors ranging from 4–90 mm (up to 500 W), gearheads, encoders, and servo controllers including the EPOS4 series and MiniMACS multi-axis controllers. Its IDX integrated drive units and strain wave gears are purpose-built for collaborative robots and industrial automation.

Maxon's ISO 13485-certified medical drive division also serves surgical and rehabilitation robotics. With over 3,200 employees globally across 41 countries, maxon drives are used in aerospace, medical devices, industrial automation, and mobility applications.
