Boston, Massachusetts nonprofit robotics hub founded 2015; runs prototyping labs and an accelerator that has granted over 1 million dollars to startups.
MassRobotics is a non-profit robotics innovation hub headquartered in the Seaport district of Boston, Massachusetts. Tye Brady, Steve Paschall, Fady Saad, Joyce Sidopoulos, and Daniel Theobald founded the organization in 2015, building on ideas developed through Massachusetts Robotics Cluster meetings that began in 2004.
The organization provides startups with shared workspace and prototype labs equipped with CNC machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, and dedicated industrial-automation and human-robot-interaction testing facilities, supporting hardware development from concept through commercialization. Its accelerator program, run with the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, has awarded non-dilutive grants exceeding 1 million dollars to member startups, and additional programs include a Physical AI Fellowship, an International Immersion Program, and a Healthcare Robotics Startup Catalyst.
MassRobotics also runs STEM education programs such as a Drone Academy and Bluetech Robotics Academy, and hosts community events including an annual Robot Block Party that connects resident startups with investors, corporate sponsors, and talent.
