Mach Industries Inc. is a US defense technology company founded in 2023 by Ethan Thornton and headquartered in Huntington Beach, California. The company develops and manufactures asymmetric aerospace and defense systems and components designed to be produced at scale, with a stated mission to build affordable strike, interceptor and surveillance hardware by the millions to deter conflict. Its product portfolio spans several autonomous and uncrewed systems: Viper, a turbojet-powered vertical-takeoff one-way attack UAS that deploys without additional launcher infrastructure; Glide, a low-cost precision-strike glide munition; Stratos, a high-altitude pseudo-satellite that delivers communications, sensors and effects from the stratosphere thousands of miles from its launch point; Pike, a long-range, low-cost munition for decentralized modular mass deployment; and Dart, a low-cost kinetic interceptor scalable for counter-drone operations. Mach also operates an Energetics division providing solid rocket motors, pyrotechnics, hypergolic and cryogenic propulsion testing, and high-pressure, high-temperature and explosives testing.
The company runs Forge 1, an approximately 115,000-square-foot production facility in Huntington Beach built to support full-rate manufacturing, and has secured US Army contracts. Mach has grown rapidly, raising venture funding from investors including Sequoia and Khosla Ventures and reaching a reported 1.8 billion dollar valuation in 2026. Positioned as a vertically integrated manufacturer of autonomous aerial weapons and defense infrastructure, Mach focuses on low cost, high volume and decentralized, infrastructure-light deployment of its uncrewed systems.
