KraussMaffei Group GmbH is a German manufacturer of machinery for plastics and rubber processing, headquartered in Parsdorf near Munich, Bavaria. The company traces its roots to 1838 and took its present form through the 1931 merger of Maffei and Krauss and Co. Since 2016 KraussMaffei has operated under Chinese ownership through ChemChina.
The group is organized into four technology divisions: injection molding machinery, extrusion, reaction process machinery, and automation. Injection molding lines include the GX, CX, and all-electric PX series; extrusion equipment covers plastics and rubber processing lines, including recycling systems such as the ZSA UltraCycle; automation products include the LRXplus family of linear robots designed to work with injection molding machines from other manufacturers. Subsidiaries Burgsmuller and Pultrex extend the group into metal-forming and pultrusion equipment. Customers span automotive, packaging, medical device, and construction industries, along with materials recycling operations.
KraussMaffei employs approximately 4,200 people worldwide and maintains production and sales operations across multiple continents. The automation division relocated to the Parsdorf headquarters in 2024.
