Delft TU spin-off designing neuromorphic microcontrollers with analog spiking neural networks for ultra-low-power always-on AI at the sensor edge.
Innatera Nanosystems B.V. (founded 2018, Rijswijk, Netherlands) is a TU Delft spin-off developing neuromorphic processors that mimic the brain's spiking neural network (SNN) architecture for sensor-edge AI. Its analog mixed-signal chips deliver up to 100x faster and 500x more energy-efficient inference than conventional processors.
The flagship Pulsar microcontroller — winner of Best-in-Show at COMPUTEX 2025 — targets always-on applications including sub-millisecond gesture recognition, object detection in smart homes, and ADAS. The software development kit Talamo makes SNN development accessible. Applications include robotics, autonomous vehicles, wearables, and medical devices.
Co-founded by Sumeet Kumar and Uma Mahesh. Total funding: ~$43.3M (Seed + $21M Series A, 2024). ~123 employees as of 2026.
