Co-founded by Yutaka Hishiki and Sohya Ohyama, the company develops AI-based autonomous robots for harvesting delicate vegetables including asparagus, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Its robots use computer vision to identify ripe produce by color and size, then use a robotic arm to harvest selectively without damaging crops.
The company operates on a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) pricing model, charging farmers per kilogram harvested rather than requiring upfront robot purchases, lowering adoption barriers for small-scale growers. Robots can operate up to 12 hours per charge and run continuously around the clock. inaho won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Prize at Japan's 9th ROBOT PRIZE and established a European subsidiary in the Netherlands in 2021.
