"cobotique productive et automatisation frugale"
IDEATECH, founded in Alixan in 2010, builds EASYFLEX, a wheeled cobot cell that moves between machines in minutes, for small and mid-sized manufacturers.
IDEATECH is a French cobotics and automation company located in Alixan (Drome, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes). It was founded in 2010 by Frederic Rosello, who had spent 15 years in automation for the plastics processing industry before starting the business. According to the company, Rosello programmed his first collaborative robot application with no-code tools in 2012, and in 2013 IDEATECH took part in CETIM's CRFM project (Cellule Robotisee Mobile Flexible), which aimed to promote mobile, flexible cobot cells in French industry.
The company's main product is EASYFLEX, launched in 2018. EASYFLEX is a modular cobot cell mounted on a wheeled chassis (EasyMove) so that one robot can serve several machines in turn. IDEATECH states that the cell can be repositioned and redeployed in under three minutes, and that automatic indexing lets a task restart at a new station without reprogramming. Optional modules include EasySafe (270-degree LIDAR monitoring for operator safety), EasyGate (automatic machine door opening driven by the cobot), SwingTeach (a support arm for teaching positions away from hazardous zones), EasyRack (an adjustable inclined part table) and EasyGripper (custom grippers). The offer is sold as BASIC and SMART packs. Typical tasks are machine loading and unloading, machining support and assembly. Universal Robots appears among the company's partner logos.
IDEATECH targets small and medium-sized manufacturers (TPE/PME) and presents its approach as "frugal automation", with or without robots, aimed at reducing musculoskeletal disorders while raising productivity. It quotes a payback period of 6 to 18 months. The company reports more than 65 cobots installed in industry, with over 80% of them working across several machines, and more than 16 subsidised projects. Sectors served include machining, sheet metal work and aerospace subcontracting.
Besides EASYFLEX, the company sells customisable standard products and builds special machines. Its service path runs from feasibility study (STARTER) and on-site proof of concept (POC) to industrialisation and installation (DEPLOY), followed by training in reconfiguration and programming (FORM-ACTION), a coaching programme to make client staff project leads (MADE-INSIDE), and remote or on-site expert diagnostics. Client and partner logos on the website include Hutchinson, Seva, Boutyplast, Fermob, Kalistrut, Eriks, Weber and Massard, and research and education bodies such as CEA and ECAM. IDEATECH displays French Tech and French Fab labels and states that it began the CII (innovation tax credit) approval process in 2026.
