Global smart logistics and SCM company deploying physical-AI warehouse automation with AGVs, AMRs, and the Orca control platform.
Hyundai Glovis Co., Ltd. is a global smart supply chain management (SCM) and logistics company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Founded on February 22, 2001 as Hankook Logitech Co., Ltd. and renamed Hyundai Glovis in November 2011, it is one of the world's largest logistics companies, with over $20 billion in annual revenue in 2024 and operations spanning more than 40 countries. While its core business covers integrated logistics, automotive distribution, and shipping, Hyundai Glovis has increasingly positioned itself as a provider of physical-AI-based logistics automation.
The company operates automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and automated warehouses across its logistics centers, and it showcased these capabilities at AW 2026, Korea's largest smart factory and automation exhibition. Its AMRs use SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) with LiDAR sensors and 3D depth cameras to autonomously navigate, recognize obstacles, and select efficient routes, while a proprietary one-kit picking automation technology enables robots to grip items of varying shapes and materials. Hyundai Glovis also deploys a 6-Way Pallet Shuttle that moves palletized goods three-dimensionally within racks to increase storage density. Its equipment is coordinated through Orca, a warehouse control system (WCS) platform jointly developed with subsidiary RTiOL (formerly Altiall, acquired in June 2023), which enables real-time control across different manufacturers' equipment through standard interfaces and drag-and-drop workflow design. The company has also validated wireless power-in-motion technology with partners to achieve continuous AGV and AMR uptime, reinforcing its role as a robotics-enabled logistics integrator.
