Student hyperloop team at Universitat Politècnica de València developing prototype hyperloop transportation systems.
Hyperloop UPV is a student engineering team founded in 2015 at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain. The team was established to participate in SpaceX's Hyperloop Pod Competition and won Best Overall Concept Design and Best Propulsion System at the inaugural 2016 competition. Composed of approximately 50 multidisciplinary students, the team designs and builds functional hyperloop pod prototypes using magnetic levitation based on attraction at the top of the tube, a distinctive approach vs. conventional air-bearing systems.
Their latest vehicle, Vèsper, won the Complete System Award at the European Hyperloop Week in Zurich. The team operates as a non-commercial academic research and innovation project.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Student-built hyperloop pod using magnetic levitation for high-speed low-energy transportation research.
