HGTECH, also known as Huagong Tech or HGLaser, is a Chinese laser equipment manufacturer headquartered at the HGTech Intelligent Industry Park in the Optics Valley area of Wuhan's East Lake High-Tech Development Zone. The company was established in 1997 and became China's first publicly listed laser company in 2000, trading on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
HGTECH designs and builds laser cutting machines for sheet metal, tube, and five-axis three-dimensional cutting, along with laser welding, marking and coding, and laser cleaning systems. Its range extends to metal 3D printing using selective laser melting, automated production lines for battery and hydrogen-energy manufacturing, and smart-factory systems that pair machine vision with robotic sorting and palletizing. It also produces robotic laser processing cells combining multi-axis laser heads with industrial robot arms for three-dimensional cutting and welding of stainless steel and aluminum alloy, serving automotive, shipbuilding, steel-structure, semiconductor, and clean-energy manufacturers.
HGTECH operates a manufacturing base covering about 100,000 square meters in Wuhan and more than 40 service centers worldwide. In 2007 it produced China's first fiber laser cutting machine, and in 2015 its automotive manufacturing work won the First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
