HGTECH (Huagong Tech) is a partially state-owned, publicly listed Chinese high-tech company headquartered in Wuhan's East Lake High-Tech Development Zone (Optics Valley) and traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under code 000988.SZ. Founded in 1999 and rooted in laser research at Huazhong University of Science and Technology dating back to 1971, it became the first laser-focused high-tech firm to list in China in 2000. Through its laser engineering arm, Wuhan HGLaser Engineering, the group is one of China's leading manufacturers of laser cutting machines, laser welding machines, laser marking machines, and laser cleaning machines, alongside intelligent laser-based smart-manufacturing automation solutions.
