Hesai is a leader in high-definition 3D sensing, specializing in LiDAR technology for autonomous systems. Hesai Technology (Nasdaq: HSAI; HKEX: 2525) is a Chinese designer and manufacturer of 3D LiDAR sensors, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Shanghai, with its global operations center at 658 Zhaohua Road, Changning District. The company operates in-house manufacturing plants in China and Thailand, keeps overseas offices in Palo Alto, California and Böblingen near Stuttgart, Germany, and ships to customers in more than 40 countries. Headcount exceeds 1,000, with over 70% working as R&D or manufacturing engineers.
The product portfolio is organized by field of view and range. For ADAS and autonomous driving, Hesai offers the ET/ETX ultra-long-range series, the AT series (AT128: 128 channels, 120-degree horizontal field of view, up to 200 m detection range, roughly 1.53 million points per second), the compact ATX, and the fully solid-state FT/FTX short-range blind-spot sensors. For robotics and industrial use, the 360-degree families include Pandar128 and OT128 (long range), XT32 and XT32M (mid range), QT128 (ultra-wide short range with a 105-degree vertical field of view), and the JT series mini sensors — JT128, JT32 and JT16 — targeted at high-volume applications such as autonomous mobile robots, robotic lawn mowers, delivery robots and humanoids.
Hesai holds ISO 26262 ASIL B functional safety, ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) certifications, covering products including Pandar128, QT128, AT128 and ATX, and contributes to LiDAR standardization through ISO TC22 SC32 alongside Bosch, Denso, Sony, Nissan and ZF.
Cumulative deliveries passed 2 million units, a first for the LiDAR industry, and the company has ranked first in global automotive LiDAR revenue for five consecutive years. In the second quarter of 2026 Hesai shipped 628,275 units — 485,904 ADAS units (up 60.1% year over year) and 142,371 robotics units (up 193.4%) — bringing first-half 2026 volume to approximately 1.1 million units. Q2 2026 net revenues were RMB 860.8 million (US$126.9 million), up 21.9% year over year, with net income of RMB 70.6 million (US$10.4 million). Announced design wins include Great Wall Motor, Li Auto, GAC Toyota and Volkswagen; Hesai is also the primary LiDAR supplier for Pony.ai's seventh-generation robotaxi, and supplies humanoid robotics customers such as Galbot. The company is extending beyond sensors into robotic actuation modules and Kosmo, a spatial intelligence platform.
