GAM Enterprises, LLC is a U.S.-owned and operated manufacturer of precision mechanical drive components used in automation and robotics, founded in 1990 by Gary A. Michalek and headquartered in Mount Prospect, Illinois. GAM offers one of the broadest precision motion-control product ranges in the industry, including high-precision gearboxes for robotics (robotic planetary, strain-wave, cycloidal and wheel-hub gearboxes), servo gearboxes and reducers (inline helical, hypoid right-angle and planetary), precision spiral-bevel right-angle gearboxes, helical rack-and-pinion systems, servo couplings (bellows, elastomer, distance and safety) and linear mounting kits that adapt any motor to any linear actuator, belt module or ball screw. The company serves machine builders and robotic OEMs across aerospace and defense, automotive, medical and pharmaceutical, material handling, packaging, machine tool, robotics and automation, semiconductor, metal fabrication and satellite-antenna industries. A key strength is GAM's flexible U.S. manufacturing, enabling modified-standard, fully custom and integrated product assemblies in short lead times, with engineer-to-engineer collaboration and sizing support. GAM is a member of AGMA, AHTD and A3.
The company has expanded its precision-motion capabilities through the acquisition of certain assets of Schaeffler Ultra Precision Drives (SUPD), strengthening its position serving global automation and robotics customers.
