Flasheye AB is a Swedish technology company headquartered in Lulea, at the Mobilaris Innovation Center, founded by Ulf Lindstrom. The company's founding team and much of its staff studied engineering fields, including industrial engineering and management and engineering physics, at Lulea University of Technology.
Flasheye develops sensor-agnostic software that converts raw 3D LiDAR point-cloud data into object tracking, classification, and incident-detection output, working across sensor hardware from manufacturers including Ouster, Hesai, Hokuyo, and RoboSense. The software targets perimeter security, safety-zone monitoring, and real-time tracking of vehicles and personnel without a customer building its own perception pipeline. The company began commercial deployments in mining, where dust and darkness limit camera-based monitoring but LiDAR still captures usable 3D geometry, and has since extended into forestry, traffic monitoring, and smart-city infrastructure.
In 2024, Flasheye partnered with Israeli LiDAR sensor manufacturer Opsys to pair Opsys hardware with Flasheye's software for industrial customers, and began distributing through CADDEN in France to reach continental Europe. Lulea University of Technology listed Flasheye among a group of the region's most promising technology startups in coverage of Sweden's top tech companies for 2025.
