First Source Electronics (FSE) is a US contract design, engineering and manufacturing company that builds mission-critical hardware for data centers, defense and space, and industrial automation. Operating from an 85,000 square foot facility in Elkridge, Maryland along the I-95 corridor between Baltimore and Washington D.C., FSE delivers turnkey solutions spanning critical power distribution (control panels, switchgear, transformers, automatic transfer switches and power distribution units), thermal management systems, custom UL-listed power cables, complex wire harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies. For automation customers, FSE provides full hardware-plus-software integration, including integrated control enclosures, electrical skids, and the integration of robots, vision systems and sensors, along with conveyance hardware such as palletizers, vertical lift modules, vertical reciprocating conveyors and variable frequency drives. The company offers in-house engineering services including design engineering, design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), prototyping, feasibility studies, commissioning, and environmental stress screening (ESS) and functional testing. FSE runs programs through APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and operates to standards including UL, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001:2015, ITAR, IATF 16949 and WHMA. Customers include Honeywell, Northrop Grumman, Daifuku, Siemens, Amazon and Knorr-Bremse.
