The company has accumulated a globally installed base of over 1,000 systems as of Q1 2022, serving customers across the full spectrum of photonics applications including telecom and datacom, 5G infrastructure, 3D sensing for smartphones, automotive LIDAR, aerospace sensing, high-power diode laser assembly, bio-medical sensing, and micro-optics. ficonTEC's scalable solution architecture supports the complete product lifecycle, from early R&D and new product introduction (NPI), through batch manufacturing, and into high-volume production.

Its machine platforms support active optical alignment with sub-micron precision, enabling the coupling of optical fibers, lenses, and chips to achieve optimal signal transmission efficiency. ficonTEC has established a joint research and production facility at UCF/CREOL (University of Central Florida's College of Optics and Photonics) to support North American market expansion. The company also partnered with Dutch photonics packaging foundry PHIX to enable high-volume hybrid chip-to-chip (chiplet) assembly, with ficonTEC providing the automated machine tools and PHIX offering process development and contract manufacturing. ficonTEC is registered under Amtsgericht Walsrode HRB 202431 and maintains a strong presence at major photonics trade events including LASER World of PHOTONICS.
