Eka Robotics, Inc. is a US robotics and AI company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, founded in 2025. The company is building intelligence for the physical world using force as its native language, developing a Vision-Force-Action (VFA) foundation model intended to overcome the traditional trade-off in robotics between generality and performance. According to the company, this foundation unites generality, performance and safety, enabling a single model to generalize across objects, tasks and environments while operating fast and reliably and adapting to the unexpected, and to work safely alongside humans in a collaborative, environment-agnostic manner. Eka pursues self-supervised learning, large-scale robot learning, world models, reinforcement learning and sim-to-real transfer to push robots beyond human limits.
The company is developing a platform aimed at transport robotics and physical automation, drawing on a team assembled from MIT, Berkeley, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, Boston University and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as companies including DeepMind, Microsoft and Boston Dynamics. It was co-founded by Pulkit Agrawal, an MIT assistant professor who leads the Improbable AI Lab. Reported funding includes early backing involving the E14 Fund.
