Drag & Bot GmbH, founded in December 2017 as a spin-off of Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, develops drag&bot OS — a manufacturer-independent, no-code operating system for industrial robots. The graphical platform lets operators configure and program robots from brands including KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, and Yaskawa using a drag-and-drop interface built on ROS. Key applications include machine tending, assembly, and palletizing.
In early 2022, the company was acquired by KEBA Industrial Automation, and drag&bot OS was integrated into KEBA's Kemro X automation platform. Drag & Bot GmbH continues to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of KEBA, expanding hardware-agnostic robot control to a broader industrial customer base.
