It supplies off-the-shelf training datasets, custom data collection and annotation, and annotation platform services to AI developers. Its datasets and services cover speech recognition and synthesis (the company cites 200,000 hours of speech data), computer vision (face, body, gesture, retail product tracking), autonomous driving and parking, smart home, medical imaging annotation (CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound), LLM data, and 3D point cloud annotation. For robotics, Datatang lists embodied-AI training datasets and an embodied-AI data solution. Its international brand Nexdata (nexdata.ai) sells these globally. Nexdata states that it runs an 8,000 m2 real-world "Robot Dojo" with residential, commercial, warehouse and industrial scenes. It cites a fleet of more than 300 dexterous robotic arms and more than 200 humanoid robots, and collection capacities of about 5,000 effective egocentric hours per week and 200 hours per humanoid robot per month. It offers UMI-style and Pico-headset egocentric collection, motion-trajectory annotation and fine-grained temporal action segmentation.

Nexdata is part of Datatang's corporate group. Datatang's 2025 interim report (NEEQ: 831428) lists these wholly owned subsidiaries: Nexdata Technology Inc. (USA), Datatang (Hongkong) Intelligence Co., Limited, and a Japanese Datatang company. It also lists NEXDATA (HONG KONG) TECHNOLOGY Co., Limited, set up by the Hong Kong subsidiary. NEXDATA (HONG KONG) TECHNOLOGY in turn set up Nexdata (Singapore) Intelligence Pte. Ltd., disclosed on March 31, 2025, which makes the Singapore company a wholly owned sub-subsidiary of Datatang. Nexdata (Singapore) Intelligence Pte. Ltd. exhibited at IROS 2026. Nexdata presents itself as headquartered in Singapore and founded in 2011, and holds ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 along with GDPR, CCPA and PIPL compliance statements. Customers shown by Nexdata include NVIDIA, Microsoft, Intel, Google, Meta, Tencent, AWS, Samsung, Bosch, General Motors and Qualcomm. Qi Hongwei is chairman and the largest shareholder, holding about 29 percent. The company reported 312 employees in its H1 2025 report, later rising to 342.
