Danobat is a Spanish manufacturer of engineered-to-order machine tools, part of the Mondragon Corporation industrial cooperative and the wider Danobatgroup. Operating for more than seventy years, the company designs and builds grinding machines and hard-turning lathes, and sells alongside two other group brands: Hembrug, a Dutch maker of ultra-precision hard-turning and hybrid machines, and Overbeck, a German maker of internal grinding machines.
Danobat's grinding line covers external, internal, centerless, and vertical grinding machines, and its Mikroturn brand covers horizontal and vertical hard-turning lathes, including hybrid MikroTurnGrind machines that combine turning and grinding in a single setup. The company also builds dedicated equipment for railway wheelsets and automotive wheels. Its robotics line, marketed as dBOT, applies machine-tool engineering to multi-axis machining robots that the company positions against conventional industrial robots on pose accuracy, path accuracy, and stiffness, for machining, assembly, and additive-manufacturing work on metallic and composite parts.
Danobat sells into aerospace, automotive and e-mobility, bearings, energy, healthcare, and railway manufacturing, operating from its base in Spain's Basque Country alongside the wider Danobatgroup network of production and technology centers.
