Chouette

Chouette is a French agritech company founded in 2015 in Paris by two former Airbus Group engineers, delivering an artificial-intelligence machine-vision solution for precision viticulture. The company equips winegrowers with drones and tractor-mounted sensors that image vineyards, and its AI algorithms analyze the captured imagery to monitor vine health, detect diseases, assess vine vigor and maturity, estimate future yields, and identify parcels damaged by frost or drought. Based on this analysis, Chouette generates optimized treatment recommendations, including tailored spray volumes, helping growers reduce chemical inputs and improve the sustainability of their operations. The platform consolidates remote-sensing measurements with growers' field observations into a single intuitive tool for parcel-level vineyard management.

Chouette states it has built one of the most extensive viticultural imagery databases in Europe, with millions of images collected and tens of thousands of hectares analyzed, supported by a team of more than 25 experts spanning agronomy, data science and engineering. The company experienced 300% revenue growth in 2022 and raised a 5 million euro Series A round in February 2023 led by Demeter, Banque des Territoires and Kubota, funding expansion across France and Europe. Through its partnership and investment relationship with Kubota, Chouette also contributes its vineyard perception and AI technology toward autonomous vineyard innovation, positioning its machine-vision and data-analysis capabilities within the broader agricultural robotics and autonomy ecosystem.
