Ceres Air (also styled Ceres-Air) is a US agricultural drone company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, with a Canadian storefront. It says it was set up to build a drone business around US farming conditions, and it plans to raise the domestic content of its products over time. The company is led by Co-Founder and CEO Josh Robinson, based in St. Louis, who is responsible for manufacturing strategy and compliance planning, and Co-Founder and Head of Product Arthur Chen, based in Seattle, who leads product engineering and testing.
Its first product is Black Betty Stacked, a spray drone built around a stacked-battery system and sold as a kit with six batteries. The company lists 31-gallon and 40-gallon tank options, four atomising nozzles with a 50-500 micron droplet range, LiDAR and radar obstacle detection, a 40 mph application speed and a 397 lb lift capacity, and says the drone has been tested on half-mile and quarter-mile rows. Ceres Air also sells UAS kits and modules, batteries, remote controllers, parts and accessories, along with Applicator View, its applicator-facing software. It recruits distributors and runs the Ceres Training Academy channel on YouTube.
