Luoyang AOI equipment maker (est. 2016) spun out of CAS Institute of Automation; launched the CASIVIBOT embodied quality-inspection robot in August 2025.
CasiVision (CASI Vision Technology (Luoyang) Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese manufacturer of automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment and industrial quality-data software, headquartered in Luoyang, Henan Province. The company was founded in November 2016 and grew out of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is recognised as a national-level specialised "little giant" enterprise.
Core business. CasiVision builds dedicated AOI machines for appearance-defect inspection, starting with cover glass for smartphones and other glass and display components, where it was among the first domestic suppliers to replace imported inspection equipment in volume production. According to the company, it has shipped more than 1,000 inspection systems covering 3C electronics, home furnishing, automotive and semiconductor production, serves more than 50 manufacturers in semiconductor, 3C electronics and new display, and has built a defect database with millions of finely annotated samples.
Embodied inspection robot. On 19 August 2025, at its first formal product launch, CasiVision introduced CASIVIBOT, an industrial embodied quality-inspection robot designed to handle inspection tasks that fixed AOI stations cannot cover. The system uses a "hand-eye-brain" architecture: a three-camera multispectral vision unit for wide-field scanning and micron-level inspection of curved and highly reflective parts, robotic arms with switchable dexterous grippers and trajectory planning, and the in-house "Huinao" AI platform. Launch demonstrations included dual-arm 360-degree inspection of bottle labels and detection of micro-cracks and burrs on automotive motor stators in under five seconds per part. Supporting software includes a platform that structures the actions of skilled human inspectors for imitation, a vertical defect-recognition model trained with very few samples (credited with winning an industrial vision challenge at CVPR 2025), and a cloud platform for sharing trained models across machines and sites. The robot body was developed in cooperation with the CASBOT team. At WAIC 2026 the company also showed its QAS quality analysis and decision system.
Funding and management. In December 2021 CasiVision closed B+ and C rounds totalling several hundred million yuan; the B+ round came from Lenovo Capital and the C round from a China Development Bank manufacturing transformation fund and Beijing Qixin Capital, among others. The general manager is Zhang Wujie.
