CaPow is an Israeli deep-tech company founded in 2019, headquartered in Beer Sheva's Gav-Yam high-tech park, that has developed Genesis — a Power-in-Motion (dynamic wireless charging) platform for mobile robotic fleets. Unlike traditional static charging stations that require robots to stop, Genesis delivers energy to robots continuously while they move, via lightweight receiver units mounted on the robot and antenna elements embedded in facility floors. The system is hardware-agnostic, supports all robot makes and battery types including supercapacitors, and enables battery-free, battery-reduced, or battery-extended operation modes.
The floor antennas withstand pressures over 23 MPa without excavation. A proprietary web-based Floor Planner optimization tool calculates optimal antenna placement. Real-world deployments (JLC Robotics case study) demonstrate 32% total cost of ownership reduction, 45% operational efficiency increase, and potential fleet-size reduction.
The technology originated from power electronics research at Ben-Gurion University by Prof. Mor Peretz (20+ patents). Key customers and investors include DENSO, Hyundai, and Toyota Ventures. CaPow raised a $7.5M seed round in February 2023 and a $15M Series A led by Toyota Ventures in March 2025.
